LA VIE A PARIS
Paris, France
HOW PARIS CHANGED MY LIFE
06-28-19
Paris was always one of the first places i wanted to visit. So when i did, it was spectacular. I stayed in Paris for two weeks as a foreign exchange student. Two years back I studied french and fell completely in love with the language.
Before going to Paris, I hadn’t meet the family i would be staying with. When i first meet them, somehow I had felt as if i had known them my whole life. They were this French couple with two sons that I was soon to consider a part of my family.
One of my many favorite places in paris was a restaurant called Le Sevigne. It was right by La Seine river so you can dine and at the same time listen to the river flow. You can see the Square Léopold-Achille a beautiful park where people gather for a quick stop. One of the many stops tourists make is Le Tour Eiffel. What i think makes it so special is the view. When i stood by the railing to look at my surroundings i looked and listened. You can hear the birds chirp, the wind, and the sound the city makes. You can see buildings dating hundreds of years ago yet see new building being build. It was a place where history meet present time.
Growing up, I didn’t travel much. Being exposed to so many things I had not seen growing up made me realize how important it is to travel. This one night i remember being offered pizza for lunch and when i looked at the pizza, it had an egg in the middle of it with medium rare meat on it. I thought to myself, what kind of pizza is this. When i had the first bite, it was by far the best pizza i had ever had.
Before leaving Paris, one of the things that Paris took from me was a piece of my heart. I told my self that one day i would go back and get it back, Im not sure when but we will see.
