California is known for its beauty, weather and history. One of the many must see places in California is Big Sur. While driving down PCH, a highway that runs along California you can admire all Big Sur has to offer. Asher had never been so we decided to take a road trip and drive down state route 1.

One of the must stop scenery that we made was the Bixby Bridge. Its a phenomenal view of that is photographed by millions tourist every year. Its known for its arched architecture, and open view of the ocean.

Another stop we made was Calla Lily Valley. When we arrived, it was around noon so asher and I got a spectacular view. After noon the marine layer starts to roll in and takes visibility of the hills and ocean so its best to go before then.

While visiting we also made a quick stop at the Julia Pfeiffer Burns State Park. The water had an aqua color and made you wish you were in the water splashing with the waves. You were also able to see small schools of fish from standing on top of the hill. Looking down at mother nature beauty brings a sense of serenity.

Asher and I wanted the full camping experience in Big Sur. In the afternoon we drove up a secret spot where you can camp out. Towards the top Nacimiento-Fergussen Road 2 dirt roads appear, make a left and youll find a breath taking view of Big sur’s landscape from up above. Make no mistake and go in a tiny car, the dirt road can only be passed with a 4×4. The best part of watching the sunset from up above was experiencing the golden hour.

When driving back home we had to make one last stop. A few hours from Big Sur, we stopped at the Gaviota Hot Springs. The spring is all natural and good for exfoliating the skin. It’s was a nice place for our final stop before we headed back home.
